Ironman was Hard. Becoming a DAD is Harder.

Becoming a new father changes everything. In this episode I reflect on Ironman training, endurance, and why fatherhood is the most meaningful challenge of my life. This channel is about faith, marriage, fatherhood, discipline, and building a meaningful life in a chaotic world. Ironman was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Fatherhood is harder…and better. After finishing Ironman Canada in Ottawa, a 3.8km swim, 180km bike, and a full 42.2km marathon, I thought I understood endurance. Then my daughter Charlotte was born. Suddenly the race changed. Being a man today is hard. Being married is harder. Becoming a father might be the hardest of all. Not because it’s miserable, but because the weight matters so much more. In this first episode, I share how Ironman training shaped my discipline, but fatherhood is shaping my character. Fitness used to be about performance. Now it’s about capacity. This channel isn’t about peak performance anymore. It’s about faith, family, formation…the better story. Galatians 6:9 (NLT) “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” If you’re navigating the weight of work, marriage, faith, or fatherhood, you’re not alone.
